Description of Case History Macy’s Department stores purchased lanyards with vinyl pouches to have their employees wear in the store and feature additional advertisements in the pouch. Macy’s also printed individual coupons to be inserted into the vinyl pouches to promote specific sales within the store. For example, an employee in the Shoe Department would feature a coupon stating “30% off in the Jewelry Department” or on Thursday all employees would feature coupons stating “20-50% off Sale this Saturday”. This was very successful because Macy’s could advertise without the salesperson having to verbally mention the sale. The sale information could easily be viewed by the customer by reading the information stated in the vinyl pouch of the lanyard.

Goal of Promotion Drive traffic to the Organization ’s booth at their National Trade Show
Description of Case History This HMO sent the water bottle straps to their customer base prior to their trade show. The water bottle straps were consecutively numbered so each strap had a different number printed on it. The HMO included cards with the water bottle straps that stated their booth number and a promotional message to have their customers to stop by the booth and pick up a bottle of water to attach to their water bottle strap. The HMO also mentioned they would have a lightboard featuring one number every hour. If their customer’s number on the water bottle strap matched the number on the lightboard at the booth, that individual would win a trip to Jamaica. This promotion was extremely successful as their booth attendance was higher than ever before. Another successful aspect of this promotion was seen on the last day of the scheduled events. Suppliers and attendees to the conference went to the zoo as a social event. The HMO Marketing Team saw their water bottle straps in use all over at the zoo, which was a nice bonus feature to their promotion.

Description of Case History A well known bank conglomerate chose to give away Lip Balm and Sleeves as their promotional piece at their national trade show. The unique part of this promotion is they chose our “Guess the Flavor” lip balm, which features a flavor called Romantic Wish. Romantic Wish is made of Watermelon, Vanilla, Honey Dew and Cantaloupe. Instead of listing the flavor as Romantic Wish, we printed “Guess the Flavor”. As the bank representatives were giving out the lip balm, they told their customers to go to their website to submit their guesses. The prizes were “No Closing Costs” on a home loan and a lower interest rate on a Home Equity Loan. This promotion was successful for the bank for several reasons. First, it was fun for all the participants at the trade show, both bank employees and their customers. Second, all guesses were submitted on the bank’s website so the promotion successfully drove traffic to the new website. Third, the promotion in turn generated more client home related loans.

Description of Case History This HMO likes to send out quirky items to their sales reps with the promotion theme of “guess what the product is?” This is a great way for the HMO to have fun with their sales reps and give the reps incentives for prizes. The HMO chose our NLBZ Neoprene sleeve to send to their reps as the item featured to “Guess What It Is”. After they revealed the sleeve was intended to hold a lip balm, they then sent our Guess the Flavor Lip Balm for the reps to try to successfully guess the lip balm flavor. This promotion was successful because it stayed within their theme of guessing the usefulness of products. We were also able to provide 2 items that went together but could be used separately within their promotional theme.

Description of Case History Absolut created a custom flavored Lip Balm that featured their new Mandarin flavored vodka. Absolut featured their own wait staff to go into upscale night clubs and bars and give women a nice lip balm as a gift to generate interest in them ordering the new Absolut flavor. Not only did the promotion generate more liquor sales with the new flavor, it also helped create a positive image with female customers. These customers also had a promotional product they would use later which continued to generate interest and sustaining power for Absolut.

Description of Case History SnugZ offers over 100 stock patterns on our Dye Sublimation products, which include lanyards and water bottle straps. The Gay Games needed name badges for participants, volunteers, and employees. They choose our stock rainbow pattern as a background to their lanyard and they incorporated the multiple colored Gay Games Logo into the pattern. The lanyards were vibrant in color, themed for Gay Pride, and also gave them opportunity to feature their multiple colored logo. This was a nice keepsake for all participants to keep after the Gay Games.

Description of Case History A high school wanted to promote good health for the winter season. The Hand Sanitizer also helps the school to relay that they care about the health of their staff and students.

This is an appropriate item that their reps appreciated since they are in environments that need to be sterile for the reps and the patients.

The Jagermeister staff brings in promotional products for the bar staff to use. Lanyards are a perfect giveaway for bar employees because they are required to wear name badges. This also gives them a place to wear their keys for the venue. With the slide release, employees can unclip their keys to access supplies without having to remove their lanyard. These giveaways help promote Jagermeister long term because the staff wears the lanyards which are viewed by customers.

They had seen 15% of the lanyards within the first week and a half after the concert.

This badge holder has a clear outside pocket for their name badge and a Velcro closure for the safety of their travel documents. This product helped the tour participants to be organized and less likely to lose their important documents. Also they were less likely to be stolen as they were hung around their neck.
